Abstract

Abstract An expeditious one-pot procedure for the synthesis of substituted coumarins under microwave irradiation is accounted. The method describes an easy and fast method for the synthesis of substituted acetoxy coumarins which are very good fluorophores for medical as well as industrial applications.
