Abstract Elemental tellurium reacts with diorganylphosphides R2P− to give tellurophosphinites R2PTe− and with chalcogenophosphinites R2PCh− to give chalcogenotellurophosphinates R2P (Ch) Te-[R˭ C6H11, C6H5; Ch˭ O, S, Se, Te]. respectively.
