Abstract
In 1928, Fromm and Kapeller-Adler reported the reaction of 4, 5-dihydro-2-thiazolamine (1) with phenyl isothiocyanate under" starker Kuhlung" conditions, which initially produced the unstable 2-imino-N-phenyl-3-thia-zolidinecarbothioamide (2). l Fromm et al. hypothesized that 2 rearranged during the heating process to N-phenyl-N'-2-thiazolidinylidenethiourea (3), which melted at a higher temperature.
