Abstract

Abstract Performic acid oxidation of pentafluorophenylaniline was examined. High- performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was applied to the separation and analysis of pentafluoronitrosobenzene, decafluoroazoxybenzene, pentafluorophenylhydroxylamine and pentafluoroaniline. Oxidation of the hydroxylamine occurred during elution. The identity and purity of the chromatographic peaks were established by an Evaluation programme.
