Abstract

Whitmore and Sommer'have studied the reactivity of chloromethyltrimethylsilane relative to the reactivity of n-hexyl chloride in a series of nine reactions involving replacement of the chlorine, sometimes in alkaline solution, and apparently without isolation of the products of the reactions.
