Abstract

Abstract Reaction between t-butylmagnesium chloride and 9,lO-phenanthraquinone takes an unusual course involving 1,6-addition. This leads successively to products based on 3-t-butyl- and 3,6-di-t-butyl- 9,lO-phenanthraquinone. ...
