Abstract
The (Me 2 PhSi) 2 Zn–CuI (5 mol%) combination performed well in the diastereospecific formation of linear allylic silanes from linear precursors having an oxygen-containing leaving group, OC(O)R and OC(O)NHR. 2,11 Our results were nevertheless in accordance with the data obtained by Fleming et al. with (Me 2 PhSi) 2 CuLi·LiCN. 12 It is clear from these findings that the above-mentioned leaving groups will typically bring about linear allylic silanes, 2,12 yet ...
