Abstract

Abstract The preparations of the compounds (Me 3 Si) 3 CSnMe 2 X (X Cl, Br, I, CN, NCS, O 2 CMe, O 2 CCF 3, O 3 SMe, or NO 3),(Me 3 Si) 3 CSnPh 2 X (X Cl or Br), and (Me 2 PhSi) 3 CSnMe 2 X (X Me, Cl, Br, or I) are described. Treatment of (Me 2 PhSi) 3 CSnMe 2 Cl with one equivalent of MeLi gives (Me 2 PhSi) 3 CSnMe 3, but with additional MeLi (Me 2 PhSi) 3 Cli is formed.
