Abstract
The synthesis and characterization of a new family of pyridyl-and phenolato-containing amphiphiles is described. These species are investigated by addressing (i) the photostability and excitability,(ii) the electrochemical properties, and (iii) the amphiphilic properties to evaluate their potential as precursors for photoresponsive Langmuir− Blodgett films.
