Abstract
Treatment of (Me3Si) 3CSiMe2l,(Me3Si) 3 CSiMe (OMe) l, or (Me3Si) 3CSiPh2l with AgOCn in CH2Cl2has given (Me3Si) 3 CSiMe2 (OCN),(Me3Si) 3CSiMe (OMe)(OCN), and (Me3Si) 2C (SiPh2Me)[SiMe2 (OCN)], respectively, the first normal cyanates of silicon; on heating these isomerize to the corresponding isocyanates.
