Abstract

The commercially available dye intermediates 1-hydroxyanthraquinone, 1-amino-2- methylanthraquinone and 1, 8-dihydroxyanthraquinone (chrysazin) have been elaborated in a regiospecific manner into tetracyclic ketonitriles.
