Abstract
Allylation of aldehydes with allyltrialkylsilanes is one of the most powerful CC bond forming reactions in organic synthesis. Generally, strong Lewis acids 1., , , and such as TiCl 4 , BF 3 –OEt 2 , NbCl 5 and SnCl 4 were known to catalyse these reactions.
