Abstract

Abstract The 2-((2-benzylamino) phenyldiazenyl) phenol, H 2 OL [where H 2 OL= ArOHN= NC 6 H 4 N (H) CH 2 (C 6 H 5); Ar= C 6 H 5 (for H 2 OL 1), p-MeC 6 H 4 (for H 2 OL 2) or p- ClC 6 H 4 (for H 2 OL 3)], ligands were prepared by the reaction of the appropriate 2-((2- hydroxyaryl) azo) anilines with benzyl bromide.
