Abstract
Recently this sequence of reactions was examined in this Laboratory in order to determine its generality as an adjunct to existing preparations of nitro compounds. a With alicyclic ketoximes it was found that the alkaline solution of bromine produced a bromonitroso compound which, however, could be oxidized to a bromonitro compound with the aid of concentrated nitric acid.
