Abstract
Dichloro-2-vinylcyclopropane yields 4, 4dichlorocyclopentene, 1, l-dichloro-2-methyl-2- vinylcyclopropane yields l-methyl-4, 4dichlorocyclopentene, and 7, 7-dichlorobicyclo [4.1. 0] hept-2-ene yields 4dichloromethylenecyclohexene and benzyl chloride. 1, l-Dichloro-2- cyclopropylprop-l-ene and the isomers of 1-chloro-2-cyclopropylprop-1-ene, however, are stable up to 400'.
