Abstract

264 and 349-350 mp in ethanol; maxima at 267 and 361 mp and a shoulder at 340 mp in chloroform. The Products C, E, D, and H.-These were shown to be identical by their infrared spectra. A strong carbonyl band appeared in the region 1727-1730 cm.-l. The ultraviolet spectra had the same characteristics as those of the products A, B, F, and G.
