Results Reductive Cleavage of Methyl Per-0-(trimethylsily1)-D-glucopyranosides. Methyl 2, 3, 4, 6-tetra-O-(tri-methylsily1)-aD-glucopyranoside (1) and its corresponding@-anomer, methyl 2, 3, 4, 6-tetra-o-(trimethylsilyl)-@-~-glucopyranoside (2), prepared from methyl aD- glucopyranoside (3) and methyl 0-D-glucopyranoside (4), respectively, were separately treated with 5 equiv (per equiv of glycoside) of triethylsilane and 5 equiv of trimethylsilyl ...
