Abstract

Abstract The reactivity of organic compounds (PhH, PhMe, PhF, PhCl, PhOH, PhOEt, PhCHO, Ph 2 CO, PhCN, Ph 2 S, Ph 2 SO, Ph 2 SO 2, and p-Me 2 C 6 H 4) toward diphenylcarbonyl oxide Ph 2 COO was characterized by the k 33/k 31 ratio, where k 33 and k 31 are the rate constants for the reactions of Ph 2 COO with the arene and diphenyldiazomethane Ph 2 CN 2, respectively.
