Abstract
Abstract The conjugate addition of organomagnesium reagents to α, β-ethylenic esters is performed in THF, at room temperature (30 min to 1.5 h), in the presence of CuCl (3%) and Me 3 SiCl (1.2 eq.). Good yields of 1, 4-addition products are obtained according to this very simple procedure.
