Abstract

As part of a program of synthesis of diamidines as antimicrobial agents, [10] and in an effort to eliminate the need for hydrogen gas for the efficient conversion of amidoximes to amidines, we have explored the use of ammonium formate (AF) as a hydrogen transfer reagent.
