Abstract
High-fluorine-content aluminum chlorofluoride, as prepared by Cl/F exchange of aluminum chloride with one of a number of organofluorine compounds, is a very active Lewis acid capable of condensing an allylic fluoride with another fluoroolefin at low temperature.
