Abstract
The intrazeolite and solution photooxygenations of a series of sulfides have been compared. The unusual zeolite environment enhances the rates of reaction, it suppresses the Pummerer rearrangements, and it has a dramatic effect on the sulfoxide/sulfone ratio.
