Abstract

Iridium complex 1,(POCOP) Ir (H)(acetone)+(POCOP= 2, 6-bis (di-tert-butylphosphinito) phenyl), catalyzes hydrosilylation of ketones and aldehydes using triethylsilane with quantitative conversion at 25° C in 20− 30 min with 0.5 mol% catalyst loadings. The diastereoselectivity of hydrosilylation of 4-tert-butyl cyclohexanone is highly temperature dependent, favoring the trans product at low temperatures. Mechanistic studies show that ...
