Results Cyclic cy-azo hydroperoxide 1 (cis-3-bromo-4, 5-dihydro-5-hydroperoxy-4, 4-diethyl- 3, 5-diphenyl-3H-pyrmle) and acyclic a-azo hydroperoxide 2 [(4-methoxyphenyl)(pheny1azo ) methyl hydroperoxide], prepared according to published procedures, 5Ja were converted to the ROOD analogues (1-d and 2-d, respectively) by exchange of the hydroperoxy protons with DzO.
