Abstract
Results The reaction of tetramethyl-1, 2-dioxetane (1) with triarylphosphines (2a-li) in C6D6 at low temperature produced 2, 2-dihydro-4, 4, 5, 5-tetramethyl-2, 2, 2-triaryl-l, 3, 2- dioxaphospholanes (3a-k) in yields of generally 90% or higher (Table I; reaction 1). As previously for 3e,
