Abstract
Charge-transfer (CT) absorptions are observed between iodine and a variety of homoleptic alkylmetals including dialkylmercury (R2Hg) and tetraalkylmetals (R4M) of the group 4A elements (where M= lead, tin, germanium, and silicon) in carbon tetrachloride solutions.
