Abstract

Enzyme inhibitors are molecules that bind to enzymes and decrease their activity [1]. Since blocking an enzyme's activity can kill a pathogen or correct a metabolic imbalance, many drugs are enzyme inhibitors [2]. The design of the inhibitors, based on the structure of an enzyme active site, is helpful to determine the 3D structure of the enzyme and of the enzyme in complex with an inhibitor at high resolution.
