Abstract

Abstract The synthesis and structural characterisation of novel imino cyclophanes incorporating various spacer units is described. All the imino cyclophanes exhibit comparable antibacterial activity against Gram positive (Bacillus subtillus, Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram negative (Escherchia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia) bacterial strains.
