Abstract

Abstract GMPGS-2000, a nonionic amphiphile composed of Guerbet alcohol (2- octyldodecan-1-ol), MPEG-2000 and succinic acid, has been prepared as an effective nanomicelle forming species for the oxidation of alcohols with 2-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX) in water at room temperature.
