Abstract

Cyclization reactions of alkyl-substituted propargyloxyethanols la-If induced by potassium hydroxide in water, dimethyl sulfoxide (DhlSO), and tert-butyl alcohol were studied. Products obtained included the corresponding 2-methylene-lJ4-dioxanes, 3, 6-dioxacycloheptenes, 2- vinyl-1, 3-dioxolanes, and 2-methyl-1, 4-dioxenes.
