Abstract
Summary A convenient method of brominating pyridine to 3-bromopyridine and 3, 6- dibromopyridine has been described. It consists of the preparation of a perbromide of pyridine hydrobromide in glacial acetic acid solution and the transformation of this perbromide by heat into the bromopyridines.
