Abstract
Abstract The cascade annulation-lactonization of phthalides with α-carboxyfurylacrylates in the presence of lithium hexamethyldisilazide (LiHMDS) provides both convergent and semiconvergent regioselective syntheses of neo-tanshinlactones in moderate yields.
