Abstract

Abstract Operationally simple and environmentally benign methods for some organic transformations comprising reductive coupling of sulfonyl chlorides, chemoselective deoxygenation of sulfoxides, and halogenation of alcohols mediated by ZrOCl2· 8H2O/MX in water have been developed.
