Abstract
In previous communications, we studied asymmetric reduction of 1-methyl-2-alkyl-t.. 1- piperideinium perchlorates1, I-methyl-2-alkyl-t.. 1-pyrrolinium perchlorates2, methylalkyl ketones, methylaryl ketones3 and diaryl ketones4 by optically active alkoxy lithium aluminium hydrides; the reductive agents were prepared in situ by partial decomposition of lithium aluminium hydride with optically active alcohols.
