Abstract
Over the years, numerous synthetic methods for preparation of quinoxalines have been reported in the literature. 7 Among them, the condensation of 1,2-aryldiamine with 1,2-diketone in refluxing ethanol or acetic acid is a general approach. 8 Research effort has been focused on finding new catalysts to improve the yield of this condensation reaction.
