Abstract

Comparison of the infrared spectrum6 (Fig. 1) of the product boiling at 50-51' at 20 mm. with that of the 1- chloro-3,3-dimethylpentane prepared from t-pentyl chlo- ride and ethylene showed that samples contained at least 95% material in common. ...
