Abstract
It was found that benzhydryl dimethylamidosulfite, obtained from N, N, N′, N′- tetramethylsulfurous diamide-phenyl isocyanate adduct and benzhydrol, decomposed to give benzhydryldimethylamine and sulfur dioxide. Similarly, triphenylmethyl and 1, 3- diphenylallyl dimethylamidosulfite gave corresponding tertiary amines when these esters were refluxed in benzene.
