Abstract

A recent report from this Laboratory described a series of barbituric acids containing the unsaturated 2-methylallyl. 2 Since some of these derivatives produced an anesthesia of brief duration, we believed that the isomeric; i, 5-crotyl alkyl and 5, 5-(l-methylallyl) alkyl barbituric acids might also be of short duration.
