Abstract
Introduction.-During recent years an active interest has been taken in the characterization of N-substituted amido acids by means of their infrared spectra. 2 In general when these compounds are examined in solution or in the liquid state the strong carbon-oxygen stretching bands corresponding to the carboxyl and amide carbonyl are found at or near the expected values for simple acids and arnides, respectively.
