Abstract
It has recently been shown by Gomberg and Sullivan2 that when a solution of-tetraphenyl-di- P-naphthylethane is diluted, or when the temperature of the solution is raised, the increase in color intensity is ever so much less than the increase in the dissociation of this hexa- arylethane into the corresponding free radical, diphenyl-P-naphthylmethyl.
