Abstract

Abstract Chiral N-(diethoxymethyl) oxazolidinones, prepared from the corresponding oxazolidinones by heating in triethyl orthoformate, can be used as organozinc carbenoid precursors for the direct enantioselective amidocyclopropanation of alkenes.
