Abstract

A Pd-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylation with nitromethane using an aspartic acid- derived P-chirogenic diaminophosphine oxide [(S, RP)-Ph-DIAPHOX] is described. This method was successfully applied to enantioselective synthesis of (R)-preclamol and (R)- baclofen.
