Abstract
Among the various known hypervalent iodine species alkynyliodonium salts represent an interesting class of compounds regarding their applications in organic synthesis [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9]. Their major subgroup comprises a multitude of stable alkynyl(aryl)iodonium salts (1, Scheme 1) [9].
