Abstract
Abstract Sodium thiophenoxide reacts with dibromodifluoromethane to give bromodifluoromethyl phenyl sulfide. Peracid oxidation of the sulfide gives the corresponding sulfoxide and sulfone. The formation of the sulfide is suggested to proceed Full-size image (< 1 K)
