Abstract

Abstract: yield by Grignard cyclization of diethyl 5-bromo-3-bromoethylpentylphosphonate (13) in refluxing tetrahydrofuran. In an analogous fashion, 1-phosphabicyclo [2, 2, 2] octane 1-oxide (2) was prepared in 6 yield.
