Abstract
Abstract The paper describes reactions of 1-alkynes, R 1-C≡ CH, with new cuprate species of the type R 3 Cu 2 M [M= Mg (Cl, Br)]. Under suitably chosen conditions a smooth transfer of R (Me or Et) from the cuprates to the 1-alkynes (R 1= Ph or nC 6 H 13) could be realized. The resulting stereospecifically generated adducts [(RR 1 C [DOUBLE BOND] CH) x Cu 2 R 3-x] Mg (Cl or Br) were stable under the conditions of the reactions, provided that a ...
