Abstract
F2P (O) N3 and F2P (O) NCO exist exclusively as single rotamers with the P O bond being cis to the pseudohalide groups in the gaseous, liquid, and solid states as shown by Raman (liquid and solid states) and IR (gas and Ar-matrix) spectroscopy, as well as X-ray crystallography. F2 (O) POP (O) F2 has a C 2 symmetric structure with a slight deviation from the eclipsed rotamer.
