Abstract

2-Fluoro-2, 2-dinitroethanol in aqueous alkali reacted with dimethyl sulfate, allyl bromide, acetic anhydride, ethyl chloroformate, and oxalyl chloride yielding 2-fluoro-2, 2-dinitroethyl methyl ether, allyl 2-fluoro-2, 2-dinitroethyl ether,% fluoro-2, 2-dinitroethyl acetate, ethyl 2- fluoro-2, 2-dinitroethyl carbonate, and 2-fluoro-2, 2-dinitroethyl oxalyl chloride, respectively.
