Abstract

4-(2-Aminophenyl) aminopyrroline-2-one (IIc). Compound I (9.9 g, i00 mmole) in MeOH (150 ml) was added to a refluxing solution of o-phenylenediamine (10.2 g, Ii0 mmole) in MeOH (40 ml). The reaction mixture was refluxed for i hour, cooled, the precipitated material filtered off, and washed with MeOH.
