Abstract

Abstract Hexafluoroacetone reacts with PH 3 and MePH 2 under insertion into the P H bond yielding either H 2 PC (CF 3) 2 OH and HP [C (CF 3) 2 OH] 2 or Me (H) PC (CF 3) 2 OH and MeP [C (CF 3) 2 OH] 2 whereas Me 2 PH gives a mixture of Me 2 P (F)[OCH (CF 3) 2] 2, Me 2 PPMe 2, and Me 2 P (O) OCH (CF 3) 2. Me 3 P forms a dialkoxyphosphorane if there is a 1: 2 ratio (Me 3 P:(CF 3) 2 CO). H 2 PC (CF 3) 2 OH and HP [C (CF 3) 2 OH] 2 are easily ...
